How to Install Jellybean (4.2.1) on QMobile Noir A20


INCPak has ported the stock Android Jellybean ROM (v4.2.1) to the QMobile Noir A20 and the ROM is now available for download and installation on your very own handset. The instructions and download links are, as always, listed below.


  • Rooted QMobile Noir A20. (To root your device, click HERE)
  • Custom Recovery (CWM or TWRP) installed (Click HERE to install a recovery on your A20)
  • Some experience with ROM flashing


  • Download the ROM HERE

PakDroid will not be responsible for any damage done to your A20. Proceed with caution.


  1. Download the ROM (above) to the ROOT of the SD Card (If you don’t know how to do that, CLICK HERE)
  2. Boot in to ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM)
  3. Go to ‘Backup and Restore’
  4. Backup your current ROM (just in case something goes wrong)
  5. After completion, click ‘Wipe Data’
  6. Then ‘Wipe Cache’
  7. Now, go to ‘Advanced’ and select ‘Wipe Dalvik Cache’
  8. Now go back and select ‘Choose/Install Zip from SD card’
  9. Select the ROM (that you downloaded) from the list
  10. After this is done, reboot the system
  11. You should boot into Android 4.2.1 (Jellybean)



QMobile Noir A500 vs Noir A60

QMobile has released two new quad-core devices, namely the Noir A500 and Noir A60, which are in the same price range. The comparison is as follows:

According to the aforementioned, the A60 is superior to the Noir A600. With both devices, you get the same display size, amount of RAM and ROM, camera and battery. The Noir A60 has a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz (Cortex A7), but the Noir A500 has a dual-core processor running at 1GHz. The Noir A60 also runs on the latest version of Android (4.2) making it more likely to receive future updates. For the price, the Noir A60 is the way to go.
